Overview

Starting from the National Trust car park £8 all day (free to National Trust members) we take the Gower Way to the coastguard station then taking the Wales coast path we walk on the cliff above Falls Bay and Mewslade Bay then we head inland and take an easy route to ascend Rhossili Down. We then walk along to ridge until we descend to the aptly named hamlet of Hillend. Its then onto the firm sand of Rhossili Bay and across to see what remains of the cargo ship Helvitia, stranded here 120 years ago. A short section on the beach takes us to the path back to the car park We will have a coffee stop around 1100am and a lunch stop around 1pm both will have superb views to enjoy.
