We start from the Aquadrome car park and walk to the Chess valley. We take footbridge over the river and continue to Croxley Green, then north to Whippendell Wood and down into the Gade vallley. We cross the canal into Cassiobury Park, where there are public toilets. Then return to Rickmansworth using the Grand Union canal and Ebury Way.
Cassiobury Park is by Watford Metropolitan Line station. Using the train to get back to Rickmansworth will shorten the walk by 3 miles.
Bring a packed lunch.
