Overview

There are variations on this route but this is one favourite.

We start from Washington and follow the route across the fields and up to the top on the South Downs Way to visit Chanctonbury Ring. If the weather is kind hopefully we will get to see the spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. We walk on passing Lion Bank and then down through some woodland shade to join Mouse Lane. The return route is more level and provides an opportunity to look back up to the scenery.

Please bring a snack and a picnic.
