Overview

Steep ascent to Cissbury Ring (11.5% slope)

Then descend, initially steeply via steps, to a restored dewpond (2mi).

We climb gently from the dew pond to No Man's Land, then more steeply (12% slope) to the Langmead Memorial (3.6mi) on the South Downs Way, which we follow, climbing steadily, to Chanctonbury Ring (views all round - on most days) (5.7mi)

We then retrace our steps before turning towards Cissbury Ring which we pass on the way back to the car park.
