Overview

We begin by walking through the Walthamstow Wetlands before cutting through the Walthamstow Marshes to join the River Lea Navigation. We then follow the river past Hackney Marshes to East Wick, stopping for lunch at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. After lunch we return to the River Lea Navigation and follow it down to Cody Dock, where we stop for an afternoon break. The final stretch of the walk is along roads to the East India Basin before heading back to the East India Dock DLR station. Packed lunch recommended, though there is a cafe in the park. There is also a cafe with cakes at the afternoon stop.
