Overview

We set off across Thorpe Meadows towards the rowing lake, follow the river past the Yacht Club and boats towards the edge of Nene Park returning on the other side of the river via Orton Mere.  There are small amounts of mud if wet but otherwise good paths.  Optional refreshments at the Boathouse afterwards.

Meet in the small dead end lay-by behind the roundabout where Thorpe Road joins Longthorpe Parkway. A small number of parking spaces available or there are parking spaces on Westwood Park Road or Thorpe Avenue (after 2pm) although check the road signs.
