We are the Doncaster Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A leisurely 5 mile walk starting at Roche Abbey through woodland initially before a very gradual ascent to Slade Hooton then onto Brookhouse and Laughton en le Morthen with extensive views of the surrounding countryside. We then descend back to Roche Abbey. There are 3 or 4 stiles on this walk but they are very easy to negotiate, nothing difficult at all. Please remember to bring plenty of water if the weather is forecast to be hot, and a bite to eat. There is a small cafe and some toilets at the Gate House at Roche Abbey.
The walk starts at The Gatehouse at Roche Abbey. There is parking just by the hairpin bend as you drive down the access road, or alternatively at the Gatehouse but this is very limited.
