Rotherham Ring Walk - Stage 1

Templeborough to Fence. A short walk through the ages with Roman to recent industrial heritage. A linear walk.

This is a 5.5 mile linear walk, starting at 10.00am,  with option for self led 6 mile return walk. Tony and Irene will be leading the linear walk which starts at Magna on Sheffield Road (A6178)

Since the printing of the booklet all bus routes have changed but using bus is the best option.  The X3 leaves Rotherham Bus Station every 20 Minutes at-9.16. 9.35 . 9.55. The first 2 arrive at the Magna stop at 9.26 and 9.45.  We will wait until the 10.05 has arrived.

At the end of the walk it is now necessary to walk approximatrely3/4mile up to Rotherham Road (B6053).  Swallownest to catch the 21 bus back to Rotherham

The ideal one for us to catch is the 13.45

Other buses (27, 28,29) are available from Aughton Lane

This extension makes the walk just over 6 miles
