Overview

From the car park at the church we ascend through the old chalk pits to the SDW, where we walk eastwards for a couple of miles. Lots of ups and downs on this part of the trail.  We leave the SDW at Hundred Acres and go through the woods at West Harting Down, south to Hucksholt Farm and across to Ladyholt. Then it's a muddy Sussex Border path over to Chalton and lunch, followed by a steady ascent  through Head Down Hangar and plantation before dropping back down to Buriton.

This is a hilly walk, with muddy and chalky paths which may be slippery.

Please book with the leader.
