Overview

A gently undulating walk out of Ryhall village, through the edge of Tolethorpe Park and across rolling fields to the village of Pickworth, before returning to Ryhall. The route is primarily on grass and stone tracks, with some road sections. Generally easy going.

The route is generally on good firm surfaces. There were a couple of short stretches with longer grass at time of recce. Only 2 stiles. There will be the usual breaks for coffee and lunch.

Dogs on leads only please, as the route passes by several fields of sheep.

Start is opposite the church, at the junction of Church Street and St John's Close. Please park considerately on St John's Close or along Coppice Road. Car sharing would be appreciated. Please do not park in the nearby village Hall, as there is an event booked there.
