Overview

From Selkirk we follow a road out of town to where we start a gradual ascent through fields and woodland out onto open moorland. We reach Linglee Hill, here there are views toward the Eildons and beyond as well as back to Selkirk.

The walk follows moorland paths below Peat Law, going west, undulating but gradually climbing to reach Rocky Road (a field track). We make a gradual ascent of Fouldshiels Hill then drop down to Tibby Tamsons Grave. Crossing fields we arrive at Corbie Linn Road (track) and make a leisurely downhill return to the start.

The walk offers splendid views in all directions, is mostly on good designated paths and fields although this depends on the weather. There is a possibility of cows on some parts of the open moorland.

Walking boots and poles are advised along with all weather clothing. Two food stops along with drinks/rest stops.
