Overview

A brisk walk between Kent's 'two poshest towns' that starts off passing through the Montreal Estate before then descending down the Greensand Ridge, across the River Medway and then passing through rolling hills and woodland until finally arriving in Tunbridge Wells at the famous Toad Rock, and finishing at the Pantiles.

The total ascent is 565 metres with only one particularly significant climb.

Bring a packed lunch. The lunch stop will be by the lake at Haysden Country Park just after halfway distance where there are toilets and a small cafe. Plenty of pubs and restaurants to choose from in the Pantiles at the end of the walk.

Transport: Take the 9:45 from London Charing Cross (Waterloo East 9:48, London Bridge 9:54) arrive at Sevenoaks 10:19.

Buy a return to Tunbridge Wells.

Meet inside the main entrance of Sevenoaks Railway Station just past the ticket offices.
