Join us for a delightful 9-mile walk that showcases the natural beauty, rich history, and timeless charm of the Cotswolds. This is more than just a stroll—it’s an adventure through enchanting villages, tranquil woodlands, and historic estates.
We’ll begin and end our journey in the idyllic village of Shipton-under Wychwood, celebrated for its charming stone cottages and peaceful countryside atmosphere. Shipton-under-Wychwood is a village and civil parish in the Evenlode valley about 4 miles north of Burford, in the West Oxfordshire district, in the county of Oxfordshire, England. The village is one of three named after the ancient forest of Wychwood.
The walk will be circular that takes across a mix of footpaths and fields through Upper Milton, Fifield and through the woods at Fifled Heath. Midway through our walk, we’ll pause to enjoy a packed lunch, re-energizing amidst the serene landscape.
To cap off the day, we’ll gather at The Crown Inn, a historic gem that has been welcoming travelers and locals for over 300 years. There, we’ll reward ourselves with a well-earned drink and reflect on the day’s journey.
