Overview

Distance-4 miles, Easy walking on pavement surfaces, footpaths and grass. This short walk starts from Tudor Grange leisure centre B91 3DN. The route meanders through Tudor Grange Park then through verdant green ways to Brueton Park.  From there the route goes through meadows and woodland and descends to the lake before continuing to the wildlife trust Parkridge visitor centre and cafe for lunch/coffee stop. We then continue through the park admiring its interesting trees before following snickets and roads back to Tudor Grange. Bring a snack/ lunch or purchase at the Visitor centre.

JOINING INSTRUCTIONS: Please meet at the front entrance of Tudor Grange Leisure Centre, B91 3DN off Blossomfield Road for a 10.30am. Start. Travel to start: Public Transport: Train from Moor Street Station to Solihull Station. Approximately 15minutes. Suggest 9.55 am to Solihull. The leader will meet train travellers at Solihull station and take to start of walk. Directions from station: from the platform, walk down to the underpass, turn left towards a fence, then left to Road. Cross at the pelican lights and continue straight on to the Tudor Grange entrance. Buses, from Moor Street X2 to Solihull Station. Bus 6 from Moor Street to Solihull and Bus 76 from Harborne to Solihull via Kings Heath. Alight at Solihull Swimming pool stop. (opposite Tudor Grange.). Car. There is free parking for up to 3 hours at Tudor Grange. The walk will be 4 hours with breaks etc. The car park charge is £4.50 for 3-4 hours and £5.00 for 4-5hours. All cars must get a ticket from the machine. Toilets are in the Leisure Centre, off the cafe area.
