Overview

The walk starts at 10.30 am from the Windmill Café in Waseley Country Park. We walk first down to the new Crematorium grounds and return to the Café, then climb to the top of Waseley Hill to take in the views on either side. Overall, the Walk is 4 miles long with a height gain of around 250 ft. There are no stiles. Underfoot is partly firm paths, partly grass, with some muddy patches (depending on weather). There are Public Toilets at the car park. Attendees may wish to visit the Café for refreshments at the end of the walk. There is outside seating nearby for those wishing to bring a picnic.

JOINING INSTRUCTIONS: BY CAR. The Car Park is located at the Country Park at Gannow Green Lane, Rubery Birmingham, B45 9AT. At the time of writing the parking charge is £3.00 for the full day. BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT: By Number 63 Bus towards Frankley. The required end bus stop is the first stop after the bus has turned right from New Inns Lane into Boleyn Road (this bus stop is labelled Boleyn Rd/Crompton Rd. Nearest postcode B45 0NU). The Country Park is then accessed via the well-marked public footpath on New Inns Lane opposite Boleyn Road. This footpath leads up to the car park and the Windmill Café.
