A circular walk passing the beaver’s planned new home, link to the Shropshire Wildlife Trust beaver project website: https://www.shropshirewildlifetrust.org.uk/protecting-wildlife/bringing-back-beavers , discovering an oxbow lake, (does anyone remember those from geography at school?), Shrewsbury’s lost river valley, and returning via the old disused Shrewsbury Canal route. N.B. We’ve been waiting for news of the eventual release for ages… even when the beavers are eventually released, there won’t be signs of them in the daytime as they are nocturnal, until signs of their water engineering work eventually become apparent in the future. Hopefully we can revisit then and see what they’ve done, compared with their release site now.
