Overview

Delightful walk comprising six different crossings of the South Tyne river. Setting out from Haltwhistle Railway Station we almost immediately cross the river for the first time. We than follow the South Tyne Trail all the way to the Lambley Viaduct where we cross the river again. The return route is more varied as it involves a quiet road, riverside tracks, woodland trails and farm paths and a further four crossings of the river.

Terrain - Disused railway (surfaced):quiet roads: riverside track: woodland trail: farm paths

Refreshments - There will be coffee and lunch stops during the walk
