Our enchanting journey begins as we meander through the picturesque Skylarks Nature Reserve, exploring its hidden treasures, including the remnants of a Medieval Saxon village and a serene burial site. Be prepared to be captivated by the charm of numerous lakes, teeming with vibrant nature, and the scenic path that leads us alongside the captivating Holme Pierrepont rowing lake.
You'll encounter a variety of birds soaring through the skies and playful rabbits hopping around throughout our adventure. If we're lucky, we might even witness the mesmerising spectacle of a Starling murmuration, an awe-inspiring sight to behold.
This beautiful route remains a hidden gem in Nottingham, offering a serene escape into nature's embrace. My recent reconnaissance indicated a pleasant walk of approximately 4 to 5 miles, which took less than 2 hours to complete.
Skylarks Nature Reserve is conveniently located at Adboulton Lane, Nottingham, NG12 2LU, where ample parking awaits both at the reserve's car park and along Adboulton Lane.
We'll commence the walk at 7 pm, so please arrive a little early to prepare your boots and gear. Rest assured, we'll conclude well before 9 pm, allowing ample time to relish the beauty of the evening and bid farewell to a truly enchanting experience.
