A nice circular walk, starting at Slingsby heading towards the village of Hovingham and back. We will gently incline towards Slingsby Bank Wood where, on a clear day, we will see views over the Howardian Hills and even over to the North York Moors. We will then go through multiple different woodlands where there is a bit of up and down and can be slippery due to mud. We will also see ourselves go onto the Centenary Way before we get into Hovingham where we will stop for lunch.
After lunch it is a flat route all the way back to Slingsby, on farm tracks and through fields, with views of the rolling hills. When we are heading into Slingsby, we will follow the old Northern Eastern Railway Thirsk to Malton line. There may be a few sections which could have laying water in so depending on how much rain there has been, we may just have to divert slightly.

🍺 There will be opportunity to go the pub afterwards if people wish.
🐶 Dogs are welcome but when instructed to keep on leads, please do.
🥾 This walk will be muddy in places, please wear the appropriate footwear
🥪 There may be an opportunity to purchase snacks and hot drinks at Hovingham Bakery. However, please bring food as usual as it may be busy.
