Leisurely, 6.5 miles, ascent 250ft (previously C)
Circular walk starting at the carpark at Smeaton Nursery Gardens, Preston Road, East Linton, EH40 3DT
From Smeaton Nursery carpark we follow the new foot path up to Binning wood. We go through Binning Wood up to Bruce’s circle then back past Inch wood. We leave the wood and going past the Old Mansion House then pick up the John Muir way. Just after Drylaw Hill we take the path past the Dovecot heading back to Smeaton.
This is a fairly easy walk with mostly good paths but there are some short ascents. Some areas with exposed tree roots may be muddy and slippery if it’s been raining. Walking poles may be helpful. Option of tea and cake at Smeaton Café after the walk, let leaders know if you are interested.
Meet at MIBC at 9:30am for car sharing or meet at Smeaton Nursery Gardens carpark 10:15am.
