We are the Cunninghame Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A pleasant walk from Troon to Dundonald and back.
The walk is leisurely, probably a C level walk or perhaps C+ as the distance is around 9 miles.
It’s a mostly flat walk. The walk will involve some road walking getting from Troon to the farm track and woodland. We will walk through lovely woodland to reach Dundonald Castle for lunch. We will return mostly on the outward route but will come back through Fullarton Woods. There is lovely coffee at the Visitors Centre at the Castle. Weather permitting we will have our picnic lunch up at the Castle enjoying lovely views. This walk gives us the chance to walk through two woodlands.

Some people may wish to bring poles as there may be some muddy parts and there is a short sharp ascent and descent nearer to Dundonald that can be slippy.
