This hilly walk starts in Ewelme and follows the Chiltern way over fields and tracks to Ewelme Park. Still following the Chiltern way, we find ourselves at Swyncombe Church where we could be lucky and see a wonderful display of snowdrops. After reaching Cookley Green, we join Shakespear's way to the Ridgeway. We should get some stunning views over the Chilterns if the weather is kind to us. Touching on the outskirts of Berwick Salome to head back to Ewleme and St Marys Church, which has some wonderful wall paintings. This is where Jerome K Jerome is interred and where William Chaucer's tomb lies. The adjacent alms houses were founded by Dame Alice, granddaughter of William Chaucer.
