See the midwinter sunrise (or not, depending on the cloud base!) from the top of the atmospheric Cley Hill. A chance to welcome the beginning of longer daylength and warmer times to come!
We walk from Folly Lane to Cley Hill and ascend it by a gentle route. We stop for coffee and watch the sun rise at 8.10. Thereafter a walk across fields to Warminster and breakfast in Wetherspoons or one of the many cafes in the High Street. A woodland walk back to the cars, and we should be there around midday. This is a chance to do a scaled down version of Dave Hill's famous Stonehenge walks, but without the crowds and smell of incense. Bring a torch and a walking pole, and you might want a coffee and snack with you. When you book, let me know if you will be joining me in Wetherspoons for breakfast.
