Walk departs at 10.00.  Approx 4 hours walking time.

Walk distance:  7.41 miles.  Total ascent 340 m / 1118'

A couple of hills with a steep ascent, rest of route is undulating

The walk starts off along a section of the old Roman Road, Stane Street, which ran from Londinium (London) to Noviomagus (Chichester).  We proceed along the Monarchs Way and then proceed eastwards to Glatting Beacons.  We drop down to Glatting Farm and follow the course of the pretty spring along the West Sussex Literary Trail to West Burton and ascend West Burton Hill to Toby's Stone - a memorial to Toby Wentworth-Fitzwilliam, the secretary of the Cowdray Hounds who lived from 1888 to 1955 where we will have great views of the North Downs and Leith Hill. Then downhill back to the car park.

Lunch and coffee stops along the way.
