Overview

A walk to a village famed for its witch!
Starting from the eastern edge of Stevenage, the walk will visit the villages of Benington and Walkern and the surrounding countryside. Along the undulating route we will pass manor houses and cross farmland on some of which we could encounter cows, horses and sheep. Bring a packed lunch for our stop midway by Benington's duck pond (no feeding bread to the ducks please - and no ducking suspected witches). Towards the end of the walk we will stop in a pub in Aston End.
Joint walk with Stag Walkers.
