Overview

Starting from the charming Georgian town of Stourport, we walk up through Ribbesford Wood to Ribbesford House which was used as a training centre for the Free French Forces during World War Two. General de Gaulle was a frequent visitor to the local church which we also pass. Lunch will be at Bewdley with its fine long straight water front. If weather allows we can have a slightly longer lunch break to enjoy the many cafes, pubs or lunch on the river side benches. Public toilets are also available. Our journey back will be mainly along the Severn Way. There is one stile.

There will be a short drinks break and a longer lunch break so do bring drinks and a packed lunch.

This is a joint walk with Sandwell Ramblers.
