Overview

A circular walk which starts and ends at St James Church in Stretham, which has a toilet. Just across the road is the Red Lion (for post-walk drinks) and the Post Office (which sells food and drink).

Unfortunately the Lazy Otter Pub marked on the OS map is now closed.

There are plenty of parking spaces outside the Red Lion pub and in adjoining streets.

Much of the walk will be along the River Great Ouse, up to the confluence with the River Cam. We will take in the Stretham Ferry Bridge, the Stretham Old Engine, the Fish and Duck Marina and the West River Bridge.

The walk is almost all off road, is easy going and is 12 kilometres (7.5 miles) long.
