Overview

A circular walk from Hangleton Manor walking up onto the downs towards Saddlescombe farm for a brief stop, and after along to Poynings for a picnic lunch. After lunch, a steep ascent up to Devils Dyke and back to the start. Optional drink at the end in the manor.

Accessible by public transport.  Catch the 5B bus from Churchill Square (Stop B) at 09:52.  Arrives at the "Towns Corner Shops" bus stop at 10:13.  Then a short 10 minute walk along Hangleton Lane to the start point outside the manor (see map).

Plenty of parking available.  Please do not park in the pub car park without prior agreement!

We don't ask you to pay to join us on your first three walks. Afterwards, in order to continue walking with our group, you must become a paid-up member of the Ramblers.
