This is a “figure of eight” walk with the first loop of about 4.9 miles and second 4.8 miles. Walkers can choose to do one half only, or both sections for a total of 9.7 miles.

The walk is mainly on woodland and field paths, which can be muddy after rain, so good footwear and walking poles recommended. There were sheep in several fields so no dogs please.

Lunch will be around 12 to 12.30 in the Croxdale estate, walkers wishing to join the second half of the walk should meet us there around 12.30 p.m. There are a few tree stumps to sit on but if you have a portable seat you may wish to bring it with you.
