Overview

From Talybont we cross over the canal following the Taff Trail up a short way before joining the Usk Valley Walk and continue the climb through fields / woods towards Brecon before descending to Llanfeugan Church and picking up the Taff Trail again to follow the banks of the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal back to the start.

Coffee and lunch breaks (packed lunch required).

From Chepstow head towards Abergavenny, then take A465 Heads of the Valley road, but turn off after 3 miles towards Gilwern and the A4077. After 4 miles continue straight on at the traffic lights at Legar (Llangattock) onto the B4558. Continue on B4558 to Talybont, through the village centre, where the Henderson Hall car park is at the far end of the village on the right. Parking £3.00
