Tarland - Tomnaverie Stone Circle Circular

Meet at the Square at Tarland at 11.00am.  Please note there is no public transport to Tarland ona Sunday.  Contact bookings@aberdeenramblers.co.uk if you require a lift or can offer a lift. Total cost per car - £13

From the Square we walk om good paths and tracks to Drummy Wood and then to Tomnaverie Stone Circle.   The stone circle is a burial cairn dating to 4,500 years ago.  There is also a Royal Observer Corps bunker in use from 1961 to 1991.

We continue along the eastern edge of  Muirton Wood then west around Alastrean House.   Continue west along Cromar Drive past St Moluag’s Church and then turn left at Tarland Golf Club to reach the Square. T
