A leisurely 5miles / 8km ramble through the New Forest, with a short break half
way round (bring a light snack and drink). The walk is mainly on well-defined
tracks and covers a range of habitats: wide open areas, sheltered sections and a
little woodland, plus some fine views towards the Avon Valley. The walk is mostly
flat with some gentle inclines/declines. It’s a walk that anyone interested in
natural history should enjoy. Dogs welcome on a short leash.
If the weather has been wet, parts of the walk can be muddy – please wear suitable
footwear.
