We are the Cleveland Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Circular walk approx 7.5 miles. Assistance dogs only.
Walk from car park at Tolpore Pub, Tees Barrage following the Teesdale Way along the north side of River Tees on good footpaths towards Stockton, passing under several bridges including the Infinity Bridge. At Victoria bridge we cross the A1130 ( please cross with care using pedestrian lights) onto Boathouse lane & rejoin Teesdale Way, where footpath becomes more woodland paths & can be quite muddy & overgrown with low hanging branches & high nettles/ shrubs. Continue on to Bowsfield Nature reserve & marshes, where we will hopefully stop for 10 min break before walking away from river towards the A135 & Bowesfield Industrial estate. The walk takes on a more industrial feel for next mile along pavements beside A135 towards Surtees bridge & A66. The path then returns to the river bank & we retrace our route back to Tees barrage. We may cross the river at 1 of the bridges, time & group dependent

Walk is about 7.5 miles on fairly level paths, so deemed as easy from gradient point of view but may take slightly more than the 3 hrs allocated, dependent on walking pace of group.
There will be a ten minute break. Please feel free to bring a drink/snack to enjoy.
Park in car park beside the Talpore PH car park - please park at end of car park furthest away from Talpore. Please note toilets are available at starting/finishing point only in Talpore pub
