In view of the likely rail strike on Saturday, the walk will now start from Wimbledon station at 13.20 (instead of Surbiton at 13.30) and finish at Richmond station (instead of North Sheen). Wimbledon is on the District Line and Croydon Tramlink. There should also be a limited service running every 15 minutes from Waterloo and Clapham Junction but these trains are not yet confirmed. You could take a chance that the 12.50 from Waterloo will run and will arrive at Wimbledon at 13.03. No Thameslink trains are expected to run to Wimbledon that day. From Richmond there will be the District Line and London Overground (but no trains to Waterloo). This will still be a walk of about six miles featuring Richmond Park, with a stop for refreshments and toilets and finishing around 17.00. But the walk won't include the Thames riverside, Ham Common or Sheen Common.
