Overview

From the car park we have an uphill walk before turning off and heading over fields to reach the hamlet of Thornthwaite. From here we follow Padside Beck then another uphill road walk before making our way across more fields to join the Six Dales Trail which we follow down to the village of Padside. We then take the footpaths which bring us to the East side of Thruscross Reservoir where we join the track back to the car park. A lunch stop will be made at a suitable spot along the way.
