We are the Wolverhampton Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Down the hill at the side of Thorpe Cloud to Dovedale, up river past Milldale and back along the Tissington trail and a country lane.
There will be a short drinks stop and a slightly longer lunch stop - so remember to bring a drink and a packed lunch.
Car sharing recommended due to car park charge (£6.60). If we park at the pub (see starting point below), please patronise the pub after the walk to thank them for the use of their car park.
This is a joint walk with Walsall Ramblers and Sandwell Ramblers.
Personal medication, e.g. asthma inhalers and angina sprays, must be carried by the walkers themselves. All walkers should carry an ICE card or a contact number in case of emergency.
Walsall Ramblers regret they cannot allow dogs other than assistance dogs on weekend Walsall Group walks.
Do make sure you're fit enough and have the right footwear and clothing for weather conditions and the walk you want to do. You can contact the group or leader if in doubt. Non-members of the Ramblers Association are welcome to join us on a couple of walks before deciding whether to join the group.
Narlow lane carpark DE6 2AT (cost £6.60) just across road from Old Dog pub Thorpe. We hope to be able to park at the Old Dog PH but they cannot say yet whether that will be possible.
