Thorpe Thewles Stn Visitors Centre

Assistance dogs only. From the car park walk north on the disused railway for 1.6 miles then take the bridleway heading south west to Thorpe Larches. From here walk north west past he village then cross the A177 and using grass verges continue north west  (with caution) to join  a bridleway heading south west past West Layton Farm. At the path crossing turn south east and at the next junction turn south west - at the next junction head south east and south on a metalled farm road. On reaching an unclassified road turn south, west and south (with caution).  Just opposite the entrance to Whitton Three Gates Farm join the bridleway signposted Thorpe Thewles 11/2 miles - follow this bridleway to join an unclassified road (note: some sections of the bridleway have been ploughed over). Follow this road to Thorpe Thewles - walk though the village to the church and take the footpath north from the side of the church. This path leads to a underpass under the A177 - once through follow the waymarks back to the car park. Maps:  OS Explorer 306 and 305.
