On this week we will pass by the highest points on the North Downs, in Kent, and in Greater London. Fortunately they are all points on the same hill with different names.
We will leave Westerham through the churchyard and the green before heading out past Squerryes Court to the lower heights of Limpsfield Chart, then crossing the M25 before starting our major ascent up Botley Hill, the first of our high points. On the way up we will detour to Titsey Place where we will have a snack break before taking up the climb again through the Park Woods.
The route takes us North along the Limpsfield Road with its pavement and pleasant long views before we cut East on the paths, crossing a downland valley, to Tatsfield, where we will picnic on the green and take refreshments if wished at the pub or cafe.
After lunch we will walk towards Betsom's Hill and Westerham Heights which are our next two peaks, albeit on the same hill, before descending to Westerham via Force Green, with an opportunity for those with a further thirst to drop out at the Westerham Brewery.
There are great views throughout the walk.
There are no public toilets at the start of the walk but nature has provided appropriate woodlands within 2 miles of the start and at Titsey Place.
