A walk under the stars beside two of the Pentlands Reservoirs, Threpmuir & Harlaw
We will start from Threpmuir car park walking beside the reservoir & along the dam, through woodland to reach Black Springs where we will head up a small incline through woodland to reach Harlaw reservoir. We will walk around Harlaw & join the track beside Threpmuir once again to return to the start point.
We will see the lights of Edinburgh & may be lucky enough to see owls or geese which are seen in the area.
The route is along countryside & woodland paths some of which may have puddles or be muddy after rain. There is one short stony path up an incline so I would recommend wearing walking boots. Being in the Pentlands the paths are unlit & so please bring a headtorch with you & a walking pole may be useful on the uphill section.
Meet at Livingston North Railway Station lower car park (Glasgow side) for car sharing at 6.10pm
