Overview

Join me to explore the countryside around Thurlaston and Draycote, including part of the former Leamington Spa to Rugby railway line and a stretch of Draycote Water.

Sunday, 19 January 2025
Start time:
10:00 am
Estimated finish time:
3:00 pm
Difficulty:
Moderate
Distance:
14.5km / 9.0mi
Ascent:
N/A
Type:
circular

The terrain is gently undulating. Some of the fields may be a bit muddy and there is a potentially slippery section over old wooden steps and railway sleepers.  There are a few stiles (decent), a golf course crossing and a sturdy but narrow open footbridge over a stream.  The return part of the walk follows the Lias Line greenway to Draycote Water.

If you have any queries please use the "Get in touch about this walk" email link.

• Wear suitable clothing and footwear for the conditions – if in doubt, ask the walk leader.

• If you feel unwell, or need to slow down or stop, let the walk leader or back marker know.
