Join Roy & Rosie for an early spring walk from the centre of Ticknall via Calke Park to the pretty village of Smisby, returning via Dimminsdale in Staunton Harold grounds to see the snowdrops.
The group does not stop at cafes or pubs for lunch, and you should bring enough food and drinks with you to last the whole walk. We usually stop for a coffee break an hour or so into the walk, and stop for packed lunch around 1230-1300 although weather and suitable locations will affect both timings.
Risk assessment: The walk leaders have assessed this walk for risks, but during the walk others may become evident. Possibly inclement weather, & especially if there has been recent rain, expect some muddy/slippery sections; there may be farm livestock & warning signs. You will come across stiles, gates etc, hedges & pinch points. You should remain alert and take individual responsibility.
