This village sits within the Peak District Nation Park, and is a very popular walking destination. You could find yourself in Cressbrook Dale, Millers Dale, Monsal Dale or a bit of all three. It may even be Monk's Dale or Chee Dale. With so many great areas to walk in the choice for our leaders today is difficult.
There will be three walks available with details circulated on the coach. They will range from easy to strenuous depending on the walk selected.
A Walk Leader - Cathy Collins (Scowcroft)
B Walk Leader - Chris Grayson - Just over 9 miles with 835ft of ascent.Starting at Mount Pleasant Farm on the A623 we join the Limestone Way south into Hay Dale, then Peter Dale. Continuing along the Limestone Way towards Litton Mill but turning north up through Tidewell Dale and into Tideswell via Meadow Farm and Slancote Lane (track).
C Walk Leader - Dave Trembath - 6.5 miles with 700ft of ascent. We stat by going South along the Tideswell Dale valley to Litton Mill. Then, after crossing the River Wye, we join the Monsal Trail which takes us to Millers Dale and onto the Limestone Way. From here we head back across fields to Tideswell.
