A walk to the Macclesfield Canal is followed by a climb of Bosley Cloud, 1125 feet high with magnificent and contrasting views across the Cheshire plain and onto the hills and moors of the Peak District.
Quiet lanes, canal towpath, field and moorland paths, some rough and can be muddy in places. A mixture of kissing gates and stiles. Total elevation of 950 feet.
This almost figure-of-eight route then follows mainly field paths back to the start.
