We are the Rutland Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

Follow the Rutland Round to Duddington then proceed through the village and into Fineshade Wood. Passing through the Woods to the edge of Kings Cliffe where it takes the path that skirts the southern edge of Fineshade to reach Fineshade Abbey. The route turns north, passes through the edge of Wakerley Woods to pick up the Rutland Round on the outskirts of Barrowden. The route follows the Rutland Round back to Tixover.
It will be quite muddy in places as you would expect for this time of year but not many stiles.
No dogs, other than assistance dogs, please as we may be crossing fields with livestock.
Please consider car sharing arrangements with other members to reduce the pressure on parking spots at the start of the walk.
In the event of severe weather, please contact the leader on the day of the walk to check the walk is still on.
Old A47 Tixover. Please avoid blocking drives. Take the turning into Tixover from the A47 and turn LEFT after 100 yards into unnamed road. Follow road (old A47) to the end. See map
