Trevor is east of Llangollen and a good starting point for walks over Ruabon Mountain or along Offa's Dyke Path, and, with the canal near by, easy walks towards Llangollen or to Chirk are available.
Starting from the bus stop by the Plough Roundabout, and calling at all pick-up points going south. Three walks will be available, with details circulated on the coach. They will range from easy to strenuous depending on the walk selected.
A Walk Leader - Dave White - Please see the Southport Group's Facebook page for a map of the route.
B Walk Leader - Chris Grayson - Around 8 miles starting from the A539 in Trevor we head west along the old railway line before joining the Llangollen Canal and then down to Cyeyllteu Bridge to cross the river Dee to Froncysyllte. We now climb up through woods to Fron Uchaf. It's all down hill now as we join Offa's Dyke Path back to the canal, going over the aqueduct into Trevor.
C Walk Leader - Chris Bennett - around 6 miles and almost flat. We start by walking part of the old railway line before taking to the lanes and making our way to the Sun Inn. The return route will mainly be along the canal towpath, near the Chaple Tea Room by thecanal in Trevor where the coach will be parked.
