Overview

Leaders: Hazel P. and Jane Y.

This is a moderate walk using quiet country lanes and old Devon green lanes. Walking out of Marldon passing Compton Castle on to old tracks leading across the hills behind Torbay towards Littlehempston with some lovely views across to Dartmoor. From Littlehempston we pick up the Totnes - Torbay path, passing the ruins of Castle Pomeroy and back to Marldon. The route is almost entirely on quiet rural and old green lanes with a few ascents, and a number of places where refreshments can be found.
