We are the Bristol Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
The walk leaves Hawkesbury Upton, descending through fields and a wooded coombe, towards Lower Kilcott. Ascending the Long Coombe on a section of the Monarch's Way, we reach a viewpoint overlooking the Severn valley. The walk descends again to Lower Hawkesbury, before returning uphill to Hawkesbury Upton.
Bring drinks/snacks for a "coffee stop".
Parking space limited. Please car-share if possible.
Parking in village hall car park, on right almost opposite Beaufort Arms pub. Box on wall of village hall for voluntary donations for parking.
If car park full, please park considerately along roadside.
Refreshments in pub after walk.
