Join Glasgow Young Walkers for a walk along the Union Canal from Falkirk to Linlithgow, As per Walkhighlands 'Built between 1818 and 1822, the Union canal was designed by Hugh Baird and was originally used for transporting coal before competition from the railways caused it to close to commercial use in the 1930s. This sections gives a pleasant, level walk, the highlights being heading through a long tunnel and over a giant aqueduct.’

09:52 train from Glasgow Queen Street. Return trains from Linlithgow to Glasgow every 30 minutes.
Please note that number of attendees is limited to 25 people for this walk.
This is a relatively easy walk which is suitable for those with reasonable fitness levels. Please wear suitable footwear and if possible bring waterproofs. Please also make sure that you have snacks and water with you.
