Pennine weather is notoriously variable and unpredictable so it is highly recommended to dress appropriately for the forecast conditions, particularly footwear, as moorland can be somewhat muddy at this time of year. 

Bring a packed lunch as refreshments will not be available on the route.

Well-behaved dogs on a lead are welcome.

Meet outside the Countryside Ranger's office at Ogden reservoir. There is ample parking in the carpark off Ogden Lane. To access, follow the Denholme Road out of Halifax, and turn left in front of the public house, The Causeway Foot Inn.
