Lanes and tracks to Dendles Wood NNR(bluebell time!). Dendles Waste to gain the open Moor and up to Yealm Steps. Trans-Moor to a bronze age settlement near Penn Beacon. Down to East Rook Gate and lanes and tracks back to Cornwood
Seven miles altogether, very varied terrain. Dendles Wood is seldom visited as there is car parking for maybe two cars up a very rough track. It is worth further exploration; we skirt its edge on our way past.
Where the track leads off the lane beyond Cornwood School. Parking likely anywhere, on road round the village. Car Share 9.30 at Haye Road CP GR 532536
